JuVan Langford
Good Juju Gallery was founded by JuVan Langford,
also known as JuVee—an international wellness advisor, artist and agent of behavioral change. For nearly two decades, he has researched the emotional lives of high performing adolescent and adult males across 6 continents.

Drawing from his own experience of fatherlessness, JuVan created Good Juju as a traveling gallery, community classroom, artist incubator, and practice field where art becomes a vehicle for witnessing, emotional recovery, and behavioral change.

His work calls fathers & sons back into deeper relationship with themselves, one another, and their communities through the vehicles of art & assembly.
Across cultures and continents, the modern male is living through an emotional and psychological crisis that few people are able or willing to name.

You either know him—or you are him.

He is expected to achieve, provide, maintain his relationships, show up for his family, and remain socially present—all while quietly managing an inner world filled with isolation, uncertainty, and unrest.

From the outside, he may appear competent. Accomplished, even. But beneath that performance is often a male hunting for purpose, meaningful connection, and a way back to his own integrity.

Whether by design, neglect, or some combination of both, society has dismantled many of the structures that once initiated fathers and sons into adulthood. In addition the fatherlessness crisis is largely contributing the greater issue.Â

In their absence, males are being asked to perform at the highest levels of life without ever being given a place to practice. We have given them expectations without instruction. Responsibility without initiation. Pressure without language. Performance without a witness.
And the result is a generation of males carrying the weight of who they are expected to become—without the spaces, language, relationships, and practices required to get there.

THE ICONOGRPAHY
The icon is a tribute to the uninitiated male—the son taught how to endure, provide, and perform, but rarely given the vocabulary, witnessing, or instruction required to understand his own emotional life.
THE FATHER FIGURE
At the center of the collection is the iconography of the international symbol of mens room reimagined into curriculum on father figuring examining the interior lives of males shaped by the absent father.
